Jeffrey Dean Morgan is heading to “The Good Wife.”

The actor, who currently stars opposite Halle Berry on CBS summer series “Extant,” has been booked as series regular for Season 7.

Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) will hire Jeffrey’s character Alex, “a calm, experienced hourly investigator,” in the new season, per the network.

“We’ve loved and admired Jeffrey Dean Morgan for years, and we were thrilled to hear that Julianna did too, so it was a no-brainer to ask him to join our troupe,” Executive Producers Robert and Michelle King said in a joint statement on Monday.
