Here’s to hoping that Liam Neeson and Seth MacFarlane‘s upcoming film project is more successful than their last effort together.
The Oscar-nominated actor is the latest star to join the cast of the upcoming comedy sequel Ted 2, MacFarlane confirmed Wednesday on Twitter. MacFarlane is returning to helm, co-write the script and voice the ribald title character. In his tweet, MacFarlane noted that both Neeson and recently confirmed cast member Morgan Freeman had been on the set to film this week.
Neeson, who currently stars in A Walk Among the Tombstones, played the villain in MacFarlane’s A Million Ways to Die in the West, which flopped earlier this year. Ted, released in June 2012,grossed $549.4 million worldwide.
Ted 2 stars Mark Wahlberg and Amanda Seyfried. Universal releases the film June 26, 2015.
