Acclaimed actor and storyteller Richard E. Grant is apparently lending his abilities to another genre project. According to a mention let slip by his talent agency ARG (and picked up on by Variety before it was removed and those responsible posted to The Wall), he’ll be part of the cast for Game Of Thrones next season.
As to what he’ll be playing, that’s anyone’s guess at this point as the news has yet to be officially confirmed and his role is being kept quiet for now. It does appear, however, that he’ll be in several episodes.
He’s just the latest addition to the cast for the new season, joining the likes of Danish thesp Pilou Asbæk, Ian McShane, Max von Sydow and Freddie Stroma, who will – spoiler alert in case you don’t want to know – be playing Dickon Tarly, younger brother to Sam.
The show will, as in recent years, be back in April on HBO and Sky Atlantic, with the story unfolding further ahead of the books. As for Grant, he’ll be seen on ITV’s new version of Jekyll & Hyde, which should be on screens in the next couple of months.
