Mad Men‘s Teyonah Parris has joined the cast of Spike Lee’s Chiraq.

Parris, who was a star of the 2014 Sundance breakout Dear White People, joins a cast that includes Samuel L. Jackson, Jennifer Hudson,John Cusack, Jeremy Piven and Wesley Snipes.

Set against the backdrop of Chicago’s gun violence, the film is a modern spin on the Greek comedy Lysistrata. Parris will play the role of Lysistrata, a strong-willed sexy woman.

Lee wrote the screenplay and is producing through his 40 Acres and a Mule shingle. Amazon Studios will distribute domestically, while IM Global is selling international territories.
