After a decade-long illustrious presenting career on the popular SABC1’s entertainment variety show, Selimathunzi, the time has come for the lovable Zizo Beda to bid her millions of fans a warm and appreciative goodbye.
The darling of television presenting is gracefully passing on the baton to the show’s brand new acquisitions in the vivacious Khanya Mkangisa and a spanking new face to television, Tshenolo Seabi. Viewers will catch a glimpse of the two in action when they make their first appearance on the show this coming Tuesday 27 October 2015, at 19h30.
“What a pleasure it has been to be part of the Selimathunzi family for all these years! A show rooted in its love of people and celebration of South Africa. I pursue my next opportunities with nothing but sincere gratitude for the unfailing support of our incredible audience! Ndiyabulela kuni nonke! To the new team, never forget that this platform is for the people. Love them, respect them and serve them. Truly wishing you all of the best,” says Zizo Beda.
The vivacious Khanya Mkangisa will make a solid team alongside Lunga Shabalala as they present in-studio and cover red carpet events. “I grew up watching Selimathunzi and it’s exciting to think that I am now part of this legacy,” says elated Mkangisa.
The other half of the presenting team comprising Sphe Vazi and Tshenolo Seabi will concentrate on the field presenting. “Oh wow!! I am extremely excited and humbled to be given this opportunity. It means so much to me because it proves that the Selimathunzi team believes and trusts in my potential. I’m definitely looking forward to this journey,” says delighted Tshenolo.
The show’s executive producer Baby Joe Correia remarks, “Zizo will be hugely missed! She’s been a true professional and role model and loved by everyone. She has never once disappointed us.”
‘The 2 new female presenters will provide an edge to the show by bringing in added glamour, hype and talk ability. Everybody is excited about the fresh injection to the show and we aim to build real stars out of them,” he adds.
