Netflix has issued a second season order for Marvel’s Daredevil. Since its first season debuted on April 10, the show’s innovative take on Matt Murdock’s story has been showered with universal praise. So it’s no surprise that a sophomore season is on the way.
For the next batch of episodes, the Man Without Fear will return for more phenomenal fight sequences in Hell Kitchen under the tutelage of a new showrunner. Due to previous commitments Steven DeKnight won’t return in that capacity, instead passing the torch to writers Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez who produced the first season.
“While previous commitments unfortunately prevent me from continuing on with Daredevil into its second season, I could not be happier that Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are carrying the torch,” DeKnight tells EW. “They were invaluable collaborators during our first season, and I for one can’t wait to see what they do with the show moving forward.”
The second season of Daredevil will arrive on Netflix in 2016.
